I remember how every aspect of our youth was saturated with all forms of creativity; whether it was poetry, visual arts, or music. Both Dominique and I studied advanced art courses. Dominique would record and put together mix tapes for me complete with his design and artwork. Matter of fact, I still have one of the Prince mix tapes in a keepsake box among other items I saved of his through the years. We stayed in touch until graduation, seeing each other here and there; young love waxing and waning like the moon. Before long life beyond high school took hold and communication was lost. Moving forward we often wondered where life had taken the other.

   Call it destiny, some twenty years later our paths crossed once again. This moment profoundly changed our lives. Love didn’t skip a beat and came flooding back, only this time, we sealed it with a kiss at our wedding. Now complete and united as one our passion for art birthed Urban Eden as our means to creatively express life’s story. Dye Art has become a perfect representation of who we truly are as individuals & as a couple. We chose this medium because each dyed fabric design is unique and ever-changing. Not one will be like the other. Our Life Collection symbolizes life itself, its beautiful imperfections and challenges. How life can struggle to come together yet at other times seems to fall into a perfect pattern. Art reflects life, completing the cycle and returning to its beginnings.
